Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present. 

Must I always be defined by my past? 

Does tomorrow have to be the same as today which was similar to yesterday? 

Can I build on the positive experiences of the past that lifted me up and let go of the experiences that pulled me down? 

Is there anything I can do today to change the past?
